This early 19th-century Ayrshire design is a Martha Pullen replication of Charlotte Knox's baptismal dress at The Daughters of the American Revolution Museum in Washington, D.C. The Ayrshire style originated in Scotland.
Colors: white embroidery on royal blue toweling.
Proudly made in USA. Material is fine quality cotton toweling sewn with utmost attention to detail. Pre-washed (dye-free/perfume-free) to prevent shrinkage. Machine embroidered with fine quality 60 wt. rayon thread. Includes trim inside top corner.
Approximate towel size: 16" width, 27" length.
Recommended care: Machine wash cold with similar colors, delicate cycle; tumble dry low, remove promptly. Iron as necessary; use pressing cloth to protect embroidery.
